Delivery and Returns

We know you want to get your hand on some tasty biltong as quickly as possible. All orders are shipped the day after the order was placed. We will use the dispatch method you chose during the checkout process. If you are a true biltong connoisseur and your order is over 20kg please contact us before placing your order.


1. Delivery & Carriage Charges

1.1 Pre-Packaged pouches will normally be dispatched within 1 working day (if the product is in stock) and we will endeavour to meet the predicted despatch and delivery time and date. Bulk order deliveries can have a waiting time of up to 14 days. This is due to the made to order nature of this product. We will endeavour to dispatch your biltong sooner if we possibly can.
1.2 Your order may arrive in more than one delivery.
1.3 We use Hermes a courier alternative if available for all our deliveries.
1.4 We will deliver the goods to the premises you specify on your order. You must be at the premises to accept delivery of your order, which is normally between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday-Friday. We will not accept responsibility for loss or damage if you instruct the delivery company to leave the goods unattended.
1.5 Disposal of packing materials is your responsibility.
1.6 After two failed delivery attempts (or if you are not at home for an agreed delivery) the goods may be returned to us and we reserve the right to charge you an additional re-delivery charge.
1.7 If you change the delivery address once the goods have been dispatched, we will not be able to redirect the parcel until returned to us by Royal Mail. We reserve the right to charge you an additional re-delivery charge.
1.8 Please check the goods on delivery – any goods found to be missing or damaged should be notified to the delivery driver at the time of delivery or ourselves within 12 hours.
1.9 If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.
1.10 Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control we may be prevented from delivering your goods as planned. These might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather, acts of god, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our suppliers. We will try to put things right as soon as possible however we can’t be responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods.

2. Cancellation and returns

2.1 You can cancel your order after completing the order, as long as we have not shipped it already. To do this, please contact us.
2.2 Returns should be requested within 24 hours of receiving the delivery. You do not have to give any reason for returns however, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
2.3 Returns must be complete with the original packaging and are at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage whilst transported.
2.4 If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
2.5 We will refund all monies paid to us by you including any postage, less any costs due under this contract. This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights – for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
